About Us
Kaua’i Hemp Company (KHC) was established in 2019 with a mission to usher in a new wave of sustainable agriculture and organic farming in Hawaii through responsible farming and production of Hawaii-grown hemp-derived CBD and CBG products. Hawaii has a long history of creating industry around agriculture, from sugarcane to pineapple to tropical flowers. However, over the past several decades our community, particularly on Kauai, has watched as much of our farmland has been leased to out-of-state big ag and seed companies that use conventional farming methods that include the use of toxic pesticides that lead to a host of undesirable consequences.
Our Story
For the past century, the Kaneshiro family has been a steadfast presence in the farming community on Kauai. Over the years, they have witnessed the influx of conventional agriculture companies into Hawaii. Amidst this transformation, Daryl Kaneshiro saw an opportunity to promote safer and healthier farming practices through organic methods. He envisioned providing clean and effective organic hemp-derived products to the community, and thus, Kauai Hemp Company was born.

Judiah McRoberts
When establishing Kauai Hemp Company, Daryl was committed to ensuring the company’s longevity by entrusting the mission to the next generation. Judiah McRoberts, who grew up on a family farm in Kauai and had a robust medical background, was a natural choice to help lead the team. Judiah, a Registered Nurse with over 15 years of experience, became a passionate advocate for CBD after witnessing its impact on a pediatric patient with chronic seizures in 2012. This experience spurred his dedication to the Hawaii medical cannabis and hemp community.
In 2019, the first hemp seeds were planted, marking the official formation of Kauai Hemp Company. The company’s vision is to be the standard for what a cannabinoid company should embody. Today, Kauai Hemp Company thrives under the guidance of a remarkable team of individuals. This diverse group includes experienced entrepreneurs, science and medical professionals, political experts, hemp farmers, and compliance specialists. Together, they bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise, driving the company forward in the complex, fast-growing, and comprehensive hemp industry.

Where
Our Organic Hemp Farm
Our company is the first USDA-certified organic hemp farm in the State of Hawai’i. We were certified by Oregon Tilth as they are a comprehensive and well-known certifier. We use organic farming practices to ensure we are creating the safest highest-quality hemp-derived CBD and CBG products for you.
Our outdoor farm utilizes tropical sunlight, fresh air, water, and volcanic mineral-rich red dirt to create the ideal cultivation site for our hemp. Additionally, we’ve implemented the use of solar panels to power our facilities to reduce our impact on the environment.
Our Processing Facility
Our processing facility houses state-of-the-art extraction equipment to process the cleanest cannabinoid products available in the state of Hawai’i. We utilize cryogenic ethanol extraction and wiped-film distillation to produce all of our organic CBD and CBG distillate, which we then use to create our line of tinctures, topicals, and so much more! No shortcuts are taken in the process leading to some of the purest and potent distillate produced.
We utilize liquid chromatography to create broad-spectrum CBD distillate or hydrocarbon precipitation for CBD isolate. Our R&D department has created a liquid water-soluble CBD concentrate and we are currently working on many more amazing products to share with you all soon!
The KHC Difference
Our products are of the highest quality and are created to help support your overall well-being, natural sleep cycles, and recovery.

Impact
Community
We feel that by working with local partners we will stimulate the highly beneficial agriculture industry here on Kaua’i, creating a culture of self-sustainability.
It’s important to be an example and resource for other Hawai’i hemp farmers. It is our goal to partner with other farmers to assist them in hemp farming, with an emphasis on drying hemp biomass. Our commercial dryer is capable of drying 2800 lbs in a 21-hour drying cycle. Please contact us if you are looking for toll processing in Hawaii.
Environment
Our company puts the utmost emphasis on reducing our footprint. To accomplish this, we completed our state-of-the-art photovoltaic system in December 2019 to sustainably power all operations. We have a well onsite to supply a gravity-based irrigation system and our packaging is eco-friendly.
