Who

Company

Kaua’i Hemp Company is ideally situated on the south side of Kaua’i, where there is ample sunshine and cooling trade winds to nourish our farm’s hemp cultivation. As a USDA certified organic hemp farm, no harsh pesticides are used in our cultivation process.

  • Hawaii’s first sustainable and vertically integrated hemp farm and processing lab.
  • Hawaii’s first OTCO/USDA certified organic hemp farm.

Here at Kaua’i Hemp Company we strive in reducing our carbon footprint through organic and sustainable farming practices. In alignment with these principles, we have implemented the use of solar panels to help power our facilities and are in the process of establishing an on-site well to source our water.

Team

Kauai Hemp Company was founded by experienced entrepreneurs, legal professionals, political experts, hemp growers, and compliance experts who have gained knowledge and intellectual property over the years in the hemp industry to develop successful systems in such a complex, confusing, and comprehensive industry.

Where

Oma’o

Our hemp farm and processing laboratory are located on the south shore of Kaua’i in ‘Oma’o, on a property that was once part of a 220-acre sheep farm. Sheep are still used to this day to maintain the landscaping around our solar panels and non-active farmland.

Hawai’i

With thousands of different uses for industrial hemp, our company believes that hemp can fill the void that was left when the sugar and pineapple plantations ceased operations by ushering in a new era of agriculture and manufacturing in Hawai’i. Hemp will become a vital part of the economy, and will relieve some of Hawai’i’s dependence on tourism to support our local economy.

Kaua’i

Kaua’i has a history rooted in agriculture. Kaua’i has watched a number of different agricultural industries come and go over the years, leaving a vacuum for jobs and industry. It is our hope that hemp will fill this space and create sustainable long-lasting jobs and economic growth on Kaua’i.

What

Farm

Our company is the first USDA certified organic hemp farm in the State of Hawai’i. We were certified by Oregon Tilth as they require the strictest organic certification standards in the nation. We utilize Korean Natural Farming (KNF) methods in order to nurture and fortify the native microorganisms in the soil so that we do not have to use harsh pesticides or chemicals.

Our outdoor-farm utilizes natural sunlight, fresh air, and Hawaiian red dirt to create the ideal cultivation site for our hemp. Additionally, we’ve implemented the use of our own solar panels to power our facilities to further minimize our impact on the environment.

Processing Laboratory

Our processing laboratory houses state-of-the-art extraction equipment to process the cleanest cannabinoid products available in the state of Hawai’i. We utilize ethanol extraction and wiped-film distillation to produce all of our organic full-spectrum CBD distillate.

We also possess the capability for complete THC remediation through either liquid chromatography to create broad-spectrum CBD distillate or hydrocarbon precipitation for CBD isolate creation. Our R&D department has created a liquid water soluble CBD concentrate and we are currently working on many more amazing products to share with you all in the near future.

Why

Community

We feel that by working with local partners we will stimulate the highly beneficial agriculture industry here on Kaua’i, creating a culture of self-sustainability.

We feel it is important that we be an example and resource for other Hawai’i hemp farmers. It is our goal to partner with other farmers to assist them in the various aspects of hemp farming, with an emphasis on drying hemp biomass. Our commercial dryer is capable of drying 2800 lbs in a 21-hour drying cycle. Please contact us if you are looking for a your hemp to be dried.

Environment

Our company puts the utmost emphasis on reducing our footprint. In order to accomplish this, we completed our state-of-the-art photovoltaic system in December of 2019 to sustainably power all operations. We have our own well onsite which feeds the plants with a gravity-based irrigation system. In compliance with our USDA organic certification guidelines, we use biodegradable materials 97% of the time.  Our packaging is eco-friendly.
